How It All Came Together: The Story of Third Sun Wellness Studio

Come on in. Kick off your shoes, take a deep breath, and let me tell you how we got here.

If you have been following along for a while, you probably remember me as Sunsejoy. Maybe you found me through a candle from Thirdseer. Maybe we met at a market table, or in a dance class at Anahata Yoga Sanctuary. This year, all of those pieces finally came together under one name. Third Sun Wellness Studio is home now, a space to reconnect, in every sense. I wanted to slow down and share the whole story with you, from the beginning.

Where It Started: Sunsejoy

I have been formulating plant based skincare since 2010, but Sunsejoy officially became a business in 2023. The name holds three things I care about: sun for energy, sea for calm, and joy for passion. Every product is waterless, made with essential oils, and free from synthetic fragrance. That last part matters a lot to me. "Fragrance" is an unregulated word, and it can hide almost anything. I wanted my customers to always know exactly what they are smelling and putting on their skin.

My first market as Sunsejoy was in December 2023. I still remember setting up that little table, unsure of what people would think. What I found instead was curiosity. People love smelling something natural and discovering what the botanical ingredients does for them. That feeling is still my favorite part of every workshop I teach today.

Then Came Thirdseer

Thirdseer actually began as a self care blog back in 2023, before it became the essential oil candle brand you may know it as now. Each candle is named like a mantra, made with soy wax and essential oils, meant to fill a room the same honest way Sunsejoy fills a skincare routine. If Sunsejoy is self care for you, Thirdseer is self care for your space.

Over time, Thirdseer has grown into essential oils and diffuser jewelry too, but the heart of it has never changed. It is about creating a little pocket of calm wherever you are.

Growing Into Third Sun Wellness Studio

This past year, something clicked. Sunsejoy and Thirdseer had always felt like sisters, and I finally brought them home together under one roof, Third Sun Wellness Studio. I like to think of it as a landscape. Sunsejoy is the tropical beach. Thirdseer is the desert and the canyons. Third Sun Wellness Studio is the forest where those two worlds meet and grow into something new.

Along the way, I also started teaching somatic movement classes inspired by Nia dance. It has become one of the most meaningful parts of my work, moving through breath and intention alongside a room full of people learning to reconnect with their own bodies. If you are local, I would love to welcome you to a class at Anahata Yoga Sanctuary.

And this fall, I am so excited to launch something brand new, Botanical Makers Market. Our very first event is Sunday, November 15, and it has been such a joy building this alongside our local vendor community here in Cedar Park. Consider this your invitation. Come shop small, meet the makers, and see what we have been building.

Workshops, Wherever You Are

One thing I want you to know is that you do not have to come to me. I come to you. Whether it is your home, your office, or an event space, I bring a full mobile workshop experience with me, wax melters, essential oils, and all.

You can book a Sunsejoy Signature Scent Workshop, where guests blend their own custom roll on. You can book a Thirdseer Candle Workshop, where guests pour and personalize their own candle. Or you can combine the two into one experience, blending an essential oil roll on and pouring a candle in the same afternoon. It is one of my favorite formats because guests leave with two things made entirely by their own hands.

If you have a birthday, a bridal shower, a team offsite, or just a group of friends looking for a reason to gather, I would love to help you plan it. You can reach out any time!

Thank You for Being Here

Looking back, none of this happened overnight. It started with a jar of body butter and a blog post about self care, and it grew, slowly and honestly, into a whole studio built around reconnecting with yourself. I am so grateful for everyone who has been part of this journey so far, whether that was a market table conversation, a candle you gifted a friend, or a class you showed up to on a Tuesday.

There is so much more coming. I hope you will stick around for it.

With joy, Abby
